Surprised so many people liked this book. Love his talks but this book is terrible.

This book is the single most authoritative fusion of ancient wisdom and contemporary social challenges we face today. This masterpiece synthesizes individual and collective interests in one cohesive work. A must read.

I find it so interesting that I discovered Peterson and his work just when I began to apply some of the very things he presents in this book. This was truly a blessing that has already impacted my life profoundly. I managed to complete this in less than a week and almost cried when it ended. (I actually kinda did, tbh). Will be reading again with a few of my friends. I appreciate your sacrifice, Dr. Peterson!

Great psychologist and thinker.

Some of the rules in this book may be basic virtues we already sort of know (such as standing up straight and telling the truth) but the book's value lies in its explanations as to why these things are valuable. If you lack the fundamental understanding behind certain virtues, it becomes very easy to slip up.
My life has absolutely improved since reading this book. I'm still nowhere near perfect, as I still sometimes still fall victim to my own laziness and malevolence, but at a less frequent rate than before.
I think almost anyone will be able to find some value in this book.

Western society has succeeded because the value of the individual. The good that any individual does in society manifests in compounding goodness as each individual does their best with their capabilities. These rules are core tenants of how to live a meaningful life in western society. Brilliant communication of the practical nature of being a positive individual.

Peppered with horrifically vague writing and cowardly sexism. Perfect for your one book a lifetime “intellectuals”.
